Location Tracking
Our mobile applications Fitrockr Sync / Fitrockr Hub / Fitrockr Live utilize location data to enhance user experience by providing location-based services. This data allows us to visualize activity data as well as connect to your fitness tracker.
To ensure continuous functionality of these services, our app may track your location even when it is not actively in use or when the app is running in the background. This background tracking enables us to visualize activity data during your workouts as well as remain the connection to your fitness tracker.
We prioritize your privacy and handle all location data with the highest level of security. The location data we collect is used solely for the purposes of enhancing app’s functionality and providing you with better services. We do not share your location data with third parties without your explicit consent, except as required by law or to protect our rights and users.
By using our app, you agree to the collection and use of location data in accordance with this policy.
Cookies & Tracking
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on FITROCKR and hold certain information. We do not use cookies to sell or track behavior. We use cookies purely to store session information and security information. At any time, you can instruct your browser to refuse cookies or tracking technologies. However, this could restrict the use of FITROCKR.
Information We Collect
Depending on the product used and project specific configuration, we will collect personal information about you when you register or connect your fitness tracker with FITROCKR, such as your first and last name, email address, profile picture, year of birth, gender, country, height, weight and detailed fitness activity and health data as recorded and provided by your fitness tracker.
Visibility of Personal Data
If you are participating in a research study, medical trial, healthcare project or any other setup where you provide your personal and health data to an organisation or entity, you are using the Research & Analytics or Healthcare product. In this case, your personal information will only be accessible by authorized staff of the data collecting entity and Fitrockr support staff.
If your coach is using FITROCKR to track your activity and health data, you are using the Coaching product. In this case, your personal information will only be accessible by your coach(es) and Fitrockr support staff.
If you are participating in online fitness challenges, you are using the Fitness Gamification product. In this case, FITROCKR will differentiate between “public”, “community” and “personal” visibility of data. Public Visibility refers to the interface that can be seen without registration. Fitrockr does not publish any personal data in that area. Community Visibility refers to data that is visible to registered and loged in members. This includes personal data such as your profile picture, name, country, used fitness tracker, ranking within leagues, activity data such as points (daily, average, highest), ranking (per season and Leaderboard) and last synchronization of your fitness tracker. Personal Visibility refers to data which can only be seen by yourself. This includes all data from the community area as well as email address, gender, timezone, year of birth, height and weight, metabolic rate, amount of daily points, steps and distance.
How we use Information
We only use your data to provide our services. We do not share, rent or sell your information in any ways other than disclosed in this privacy statement.
If you are using the Research & Analytics or Healthcare product, you confirm that you have signed up with an organisation or entity and you confirm that you have allowed them to collect, process and use your data. Please refer to that agreement to learn how your data is used. If you do not agree or understand how your data will be used, do not register an account at FITROCKR and do not user our services.
If you are using the Coaching product, you confirm that you have signed up with a coach and you confirm that you have allowed them to collect, process and use your data. If you are using the Fitness Gamification product, FITROCKR will use your data to provide you with your daily progress, rankings, challenges and competitions you are participating in. If you are participating in a Corporate challenge or campaign, you confirm that you have signed up with the respective corporation or campaign and you confirm that you have allowed them to collect, process and use your data. Please refer to that agreement to learn how your data is used. If you do not agree or understand how your data will be used, do not register an account at FITROCKR and do not user our services. We also use your personal data to communicate with you about your account, inquiries, our company, as well as to send you newsletters and notifications. You may remove your name from our email list by updating your profile in the account section or by emailing support@fitrockr.com. Data Security
We have introduced extensive technical and operational safeguards to protect your data against accidental or deliberate manipulations, loss, destruction or access by unauthorized persons. Our security procedures are regularly tested and adjusted to technological progress.
Data Storage and Retention
You can request deletion of your FITROCKR account anytime at support@fitrockr.com. As soon as your account is deleted, we will delete all your personal data, and keep your activity log anonymously.
Disclosure and Access of Data
Based on applicable law, you are entitled to contact FITROCKR anytime at support@fitrockr.com to receive information about the collection, processing and use of your personal data and their correcting, blocking or deleting, or revoking the consent given.
