Links in Push Notifications
Feb 28, 2025

Fitrockr Push Notifications have been enhanced with the ability to include hyperlinks.
A new feature has been introduced that enhances user engagement: the ability to include hyperlinks in push notifications. This advancement allows researchers and medical staff to embed direct links within notifications, enabling users to access specific content or tasks with a single tap.
Scheduling of push notifications to send tasks and reminders to individual participants, patients, or target groups is a powerful feature. Administrators could create free-text notifications, set specific dates and times for delivery, and assign these notifications to groups of users. The addition of hyperlink functionality builds upon these capabilities, offering a more interactive and efficient user experience.
For instance, researchers can now send a notification prompting participants to view additional content such as a video, document, image or external site.
To utilize this feature, administrators can input the desired URL directly into the notification creation interface. When users receive the notification on their devices, tapping the link will open the linked content in their default web browser or the appropriate application.

This enhancement aligns with Fitrockr’s strategy to providing a one-in-all platform for health data research and healthcare platforms. By facilitating seamless communication and interaction, the platform continues to support effective data collection and participant engagement.
The new feature is an upgrade to the “surveys & notifications” add-on module.
